About the Artist

Miles Santos, Amador Class of 2015

"I am a painter in Northern California, born and raised in Pleasanton. After graduating from Amador Valley High School, I received my BA in Studio Art from CSU Fullerton. Outside of work, I primarily paint landscapes, showcasing natural and man-made landmarks of the state. I love California and I hope to see every corner of it.

In my paintings, I aim to give a sense of nostalgia and home, like this painting of 1923 Amador Valley High School. Some of my best memories were back at Amador. I cherish the memories I made with my friends, fellow students and teachers, who inspire me to this day. Being able to share fondmemories between Amador Valley High School generations strengthens our community. I hope this painting will allow Amador alumni who came before me to relive memories from such an important time in their lives."
